November 2008 Ministry Update
Focused on Children:
Preserving and Conserving the Next Generation
Gather the fragments that remain so that nothing is lost. John 6:12
In our country today, more than 50% of the population is children. We already know that God’s heart is all out for children, that He is not willing that any of these little ones should perish. If He cares enough for the fragments of bread to be conserved how much more for the little children. Because of this, BGSP joins CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) Bohol 2 in their program to evangelize all elementary school children throughout the province of Bohol. Last October, our Bible woman, Janeth Jaranilla, went with CEF in Jagna town for one week where they have evangelized some 4,800 children in 25 elementary schools. In November Ate Millie volunteered to help in 10 elementary schools in Lila town where 1,680 children accepted Christ into their hearts. Indeed, it is confirmed that children have the most fertile hearts on this planet. They have no arguments, no suspicion and doubts, they plainly believed the gospel. It is very rewarding to know also that way back in 2005, we held a DVBS among the survivors of the cassava poisoning victims in San Jose, Mabini, Bohol. God continued working even if we left after the DVBS. Last week, I met the pastor who started a church there (Church of Christ Worldwide) in the same year. He said that 7 families of the survivors became members of their church. Another pastor in a neighboring barangay in Paraiso, told me that a family of the survivors is being baptized this year because the survivor child intentionally attends their worship because she accepted Christ at DVBS.

These are the young people who attended training and orientation on “Christmas Party Class” which will start on Saturday, December 20 in Tagbilaran and in outreaches. There will be five members on each team who will be responsible for setting up the party and presenting the Christmas story. |
Bro. Arnel Mendoza is one of our church members who was recently diagnosed as having a mass in his lungs. We prayed for his complete healing. |
This is another group of rice recipients at Gallares Street. They are representing 15 families and are regular in weekly discipleship classes. |
