The Merriest Christmas Ever

Nothing but joy in their faces were the outright expressions of children and adults after having received Christ and some tangible Christmas gifts from generous BGSP supporters.

How dare we have said that it is the merriest and happiest of all Christmases as far as we are concerned? Because we had given a lot of gifts not only to children but also to many needy people. How? Through our ministry partners. There were Christians who decided to limit their expenses and chose not to buy new things for the family this Christmas. Instead they sent their money to the needy here in the Philippines through BGSP. Indeed we are privileged to deliver gifts to pay a family’s electricity bill whose power had been disconnected for 2 months, install church electricity, medicine for pulmonary lump, Christmas gifts for church workers, clothing for many families, denture for the toothless, house repair, livelihood micro-financing, children’s Christmas party classes, and many others. Even though we are just channels of the blessings, we share the purest joy with the giver. Truly, it is more blessed to give than to receive. I’m sure choruses of thanksgiving from many people were offered to God coming from people who were comforted from grief, eased from pain, relieved from sufferings and worries, self-image restored, etc. It is truly a sweet smelling offering indeed to the Lord.

Thank God that by this, we are inspired and encouraged to do more this year 2009. We are very optimistic even in spite of the looming global financial crises; there will be a continued supply of resources that will flow from the heavenly places where Christ is seated on His throne. Jesus has already assured us that He already had overcome the world. Wow! We are the conquerors; we prevail even against the gates of hell. Hallelujah! To God be the glory.
