February 2009 Ministry Update
The Joys Of Fruit-Bearing
He who abides in me and I in Him, bears much fruit…( John 15:5)
These things I have spoken unto you, that My joy may remain in you,
and that your joy may be full. (John 15:11)
It’s so amazing how God works with us and through us all. Millie and I arrived in Tagbilaran in June 2005, only two, but not without your financial, prayer, and moral support. Indeed we are laborers together with God. Although, you partners, are invisible in Bohol the impact is very visible, touchable, and countable. That is the real reason of authentic joy in our hearts and fulfillment in our efforts. Watching the fruits of our labor is more than enough to make us happy and satisfied; encouraged and inspired to labor diligently. Thank God we are not alone; you are always there behind us. For this we give God all the glory and praise.
Why do we say that we have a joy-filled ministry? Allow us to count the reasons why.
1. It’s because of the spiritual growth of the new believers: From believers to disciples, then leaders. All of these four are in Bible training. Janeth is a second year full time student, while Luz, Plicio, and Amboy have Saturday classes under the BTCP Curriculum. Janeth is teaching children in Sunday School and outreaches and leading worship in Tagbilaran and the three Dapar brethren are the team starting a church in Bilar, Bohol.

2. For answered prayers for more partners. We are very happy to welcome more partners in Bohol because the task is so enormous that it couldn’t be done by a few persons only but a concerted effort of those who are called by the Lord to participate in the great harvest. Pastor Vir Olaer of Baybay, Leyte, and his team from PIEI visited us this month to explore possibilities of working together. We need them to realize our goal is establishing 48 churches and training 70 leaders until the year 2015, if the Lord tarries. |

Christmas Spirit Is Still On the Air Through the Samaritan Purse!
3. Because we have reached out to more children through the Samaritan Purse. Thanks for the donors. Twenty-five children continue to attend Bible classes after the distribution of gifts last February 15. |
||
4. Because the young people have a strong bonding with each other and are becoming more responsible. |
||
5. We are also happy with our eldest son, Aaron, for his expanded vision for the ministry in the mountains of Sierra Bullones. Since many pastors are not prepared to live and work in a very remote place (considered the highest point in Bohol) Aaron remains true to his commitment and 2009 is his third year of ministry in Nan-od. He has visions and dreams waiting to be fulfilled. |
