March 2009 Ministry Update
The Harvest Continues On . . .
From our Pastoral Training Program: in Talibon . . .
In 1996 Pastor Gamie started a church leadership training program, which he teaches even when we are already in Tagbilaran. They used the BTCP curriculum Georgia. These laymen finished the training in six years because they met only two days in one month. All of these 17 graduates are leaders in their respective churches. We are very proud and happy to see the fruits of our labor. Lord willing, we will also start a training like this in Tagbilaran in order to fulfill our vision of training 70 workers by 2015.

Our Beloved Ministry Partners,
May you join us in celebrating the goodness of the Lord through this bountiful harvest from our hard labor. Remember, we are laborers together with God. You are contributing to make a difference in our country today. Paul’s exhortation and encouragement is very true: “Be steadfast, unmovable, abounding in the work of the Lord because your labor will not be in vain in the Lord”. You and I can attest to that. We continue to reap joy and fulfillment from the harvest of seeds planted some years ago.
We are especially thankful for you, because you helped our youngest son, Junjun, fulfill his dreams, by helping him financially through college. In BGSP you are not only contributing money to plant churches and train present leaders but you also help a prospective BGSP worker develop his full potential in order to give honor to his Master. Without your support we couldn’t have sent Junjun to a good school. During his college days at the University of Southern Philippines, Cebu, he reaped more than a dozen awards and citations in the areas of music, athletics, theater, and public speaking. He even has produced an evangelistic movie in Cebuano dialect. As parents, we are so amazed and overwhelmed by this blessing.
That’s why we invited him to work in BGSP so that his talents will be fully used to advance the kingdom of God. I believe also that Junjun has caught our vision and passion for the evangelization of Bohol. He is very positive with our invitation. Please help us pray that God will continue to supply our needs for training, as well as developing and establishing leaders and churches.
This summer, we take advantage of the school vacation; that’s why are sending five of our young people to Teen Missions for one month missionary training in Butuan City. They will be trained to hold VBS, small groups gospel presentations, church building projects, then be sent out to different provinces. In Nan-od, four young people will attend VBS training in Talibon together with their pastor, Aaron, then they will proceed to hold VBS in different places.
Please help us pray that we could acquire a laptop computer with LCD projector because this is very useful in the coming seminars and training of workers. It can also be used for small group evangelistic film showing. Aaron also needs a motorcycle because he will soon be working together with the community developer from Mt. Carmel Rural Life Center who is presently planting churches among the “Eskaya Tribe” in the mountains of Duero and Guindulman towns. By God’s grace, the workers have already baptized ten tribal people. We are going to visit them this coming May.
Thank you so much again for your continued support for the work here.
By His Amazing Love,
Pastor Gamie and Millie
